Sliding bushings.
Cylindrical precision for dynamic bearings
Cylindrical sliding bushings according to DIN ISO 4379 are standardized, ready-to-install machine elements for supporting moving components under high loads. They consist of a solid support body with cylindrical inner and outer contours, which carries a specially designed sliding layer. This design ensures uniform force distribution, high wear resistance, and a long service life – even under demanding operating conditions.
- Standardized dimensions according to DIN ISO 4379
- Cylindrical outer and inner geometry for positive-locking installation
- Available in maintenance-free version (e.g., with PTFE high-performance fabric such as FLUROglide WEAR SOLID and MEDIA SOLID)
- Robust material base: optionally made of high-quality steel, stainless steel, or with a special corrosion protection coating
Sliding bushings are characterized by their high load-bearing capacity in statically and dynamically stressed applications. Compared to conventional steel, bronze, or plastic bearings, they are significantly more efficient, especially under:
- high radial forces
- unilateral and alternating force application
- continuous pivoting movements
- axial guidance tasks
Even under unfavorable lubrication conditions or in dirty and moist environments, sliding bushings offer reliable functionality and consistent running characteristics.
Sliding bushings are used in a wide variety of industries and machine concepts, including:
- Hydraulic cylinders and rotary actuators
- Construction and agricultural machinery
- Conveyor technology and heavy-duty mechanics
- Presses, rolling and forming machines
- Clamping and testing systems
Sliding bushings offer clear advantages over conventional bearing concepts, especially in slow-moving, pivoting motions with high edge loads.
In addition to standard versions that comply with regulations, FLURO offers custom-made products, manufactured according to customer drawings or specially adapted to exceptional installation conditions.
3D CAD data for the most common variants can be found in our download area or directly with the corresponding products and can be downloaded after registration.
