Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut visits Rosenfeld

On January 16, 2026, Reiner Höhn was pleased to welcome a visit from a political figure. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg and an experienced CDU representative in state politics, visited the two family-owned companies as part of her election campaign. Mayor Thomas Miller (Rosenfeld), local council chairman Klaus May (Heiligenzimmern), and local CDU politician Karlheinz Leopold also joined the visit. Managing Director Reiner Höhn explained the synergistic effects of HÖHN and FLURO and then led the interested visitors on a tour of the companies. The machining facility, inaugurated in 2014 and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, with its view of the Swabian Alb, was a particular highlight.

"In a work environment like this, you can really make a difference," Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut aptly summarized. “2026 is a very special year for us. Three years ago, HÖHN celebrated its 50th anniversary, and this year it’s FLURO-Gelenklager GmbH’s turn,” explains Höhn. What began in a garage in 1976 has developed into a globally operating technology leader for rod ends and spherical bearings. “My father, Martin Höhn, was a hard worker and a visionary. Fifty years ago, with his courage and the founding of HÖHN and FLURO, he laid the foundation for today’s success.” And it is precisely this entrepreneurial spirit that continues to shape the family businesses.

By mid-2027, HÖHN will be sending a clear signal for the future and growth: With the construction of a new production hall, a modern high-bay warehouse, and the expansion of its machinery, the company is making targeted investments in sustainable structures, modern technology, and long-term prospects for employees and customers. Like many other medium-sized companies, HÖHN and FLURO are also facing the challenge of attracting qualified specialists. This topic was also part of the discussion with Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut. The companies based in Rosenfeld have been committed to in-house training for 25 years. "We are very proud to be a certified training company and to have been offering young people sound, practical training with long-term prospects for many years," said Höhn.

The Minister of Economic Affairs praised the entrepreneurial courage to continuously invest in training, innovation, and the region, and extended her best wishes to the companies for their anniversary year – hoping it would be a year full of successes, exciting projects, and numerous new skilled workers.
