FLURO and HÖHN honored as volunteer-friendly employers in civil protection

High recognition for social commitment: FLURO-Gelenklager and Martin Höhn GmbH from Rosenfeld were honored by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Thomas Strobl as “volunteer-friendly employers in civil protection.”

The ceremony took place in Rottenburg and honors companies that support their employees in their voluntary work in civil protection, for example in the fire department, the Federal Agency for Technical Relief, rescue services, or other aid organizations.

“We are delighted to receive this award. It is above all a tribute to our employees, who are deeply committed to helping others,” emphasizes Managing Director Reiner Höhn. “At FLURO and HÖHN, we see social responsibility as part of our corporate culture. Those who volunteer bring values such as team spirit, a sense of responsibility, and helpfulness to our everyday work, and everyone benefits from this.”

At the award ceremony, Interior Minister Thomas Strobl praised the award-winning companies:

“Without employers who create space for volunteer work, civil protection in Baden-Württemberg would be unthinkable. They are therefore not only pillars of the economy, but also pillars of our society, our state, and our democracy.”

A total of 47 companies were honored this year in Rottenburg for making an important contribution to safety and social cohesion through their support of volunteer work in civil protection.
